One of the favorite expressions used by the Apostle Paul is, “in Christ”.

“Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old things passed away: behold new things have come.” II Corinthians 5:17

“In Christ!” What a beautiful way to describe God’s people at Peace Lutheran Church.  The ministries described on this web page are a dramatic testimony to the truth of St. Paul’s expression.

Although there is an incredible diversity in personality, age, and lifestyle among our members, we all share one overriding similarity: we are united in Christ.  We are brought together in union with Christ in Holy Baptism.  As we hear the Word in worship, our faith is strengthened in Christ.  When we receive forgiveness in the Lord’s Supper it is by partaking of Christ’s Body and Blood. 

That unity in Christ extends to our everyday lives.  We are in Christ when we go to work or school  We are in Christ when we are able to ask for or receive forgiveness from, our neighbor.  When called upon to be a witness for our faith, we are able to do so because we are in Christ.

What a difference that makes in our lives!  When we are united in Christ, we are united with each other.  We become part of His Church, the Body of Christ.

As we are in union with Him, may we continue in His grace, living in and sharing the rich blessings of His ministry.
